I like to fill the bottles with HOT water with them sitting in the kitchen sink. Just leave them alone for awhile. This warms up the glue and most times the label will peel right off bringing the goo with it. Just have patience and remember to remove the label while the bottle is still pretty warm, peeling from a corner. Nancy

Nona - your blue creation is lovely. And so is everyone elses....such crafty people we have here! Countrygrl - I got the metal stand at an antique show this summer....I just love it. I've seen similar ones at garden shows....I don't think it's antique or anything...somebody just welded some rusty steel together. They were marked $25, but he gave it to us for $20....we didn't even have to ask...LOL

Halley Rose, I would be interested in blue bottles, what type of garden stuff you looking to swap for; plants, seeds, supplies, equipment? My wife has been hinting about a bottle tree too. I also make wine and am usually looking for blue bottles, one of my wife's favorite colors. I am also in WI zone 4, could maybe arrange a swap sooner than Cambridge.
