I like to drink wine, and lately its been really hard for me to pick out a wine that isn't in a blue bottle, lol. I have a friend who likes Riesling which is often in blue bottles but kind of sweet for my taste, and I've asked othe rpeople I know who drink wine to save blue bottles for me. The building I manage has a restaurant, but I've never seen a blue wine bottle there. I do mean to ask tho just in case I missed it. Arizona used to have blue bottles but they are no longer in glass. They also discontinued their ice coffee which I really liked, sigh. kathy

I got some small blue bottles at American Science & Surplus here in Milwaukee. If you scroll down at the link below, you'll see the heliotrope bottles in cobalt blue. I am not really starting a collection and looking for particular ones. I recycle the cans and bottles every 5-6 weeks (made $30 today) and once I asked the young man if he ever gets blue bottles. He said sure. I told him I would be interesting in some of them and told him why. He walked to the back and gave me two. I said how much do I owe you. He said nothing. I said well can I buy you a soda. He said no I have water but I would love to have a green apple. We have to take paper to the grocery store in the same shopping center and get the money so each time I bring him green apples, grapes and today I threw in a cut fruit bowl. He is so nice and his boss does not care that he saves them for me. Today one of the bottles happens to be an Arizona Tea, blue bottle. Do know know where the person bought it, but recycled in So. CA. Last time I got blue beer bottles, lol. I got my first blue water bottles at World Market. Check at the back of the inport stores near you to see if they have any water, maybe even Pier One or some of the Bed and Bath shoppes. I kinda got hooked on the carbonated mineral water. Was good. But why buy when I can get for almost free. Some have ended up in my DD kitchen for vases. Right now they are full of roses and Iris. They can be bought online which is cheaper than getting them and drinking the insdie. Just search for 'homemade wine bottles' and you will see them in different sizes and colors.

Looks great all seasons, really pops with mostly green & little white & looks so inviting in winter with all white & then pic with full summer blooms is beautiful! I have 2 cobalt vases I guess that I think are buried by gophers, will have to dig them out & set them out where they "show off" I had corked the tops but collected moisture so will have to figure out better way to keep water out, maybe melted wax on bottom of corks! Those springs make the stems so graceful!! Jan
