Brown rot shoot blight on apple?

Scott F Smith

This very wet last month has led to a fair amount of brown rot in my back orchard. While I am used to the rot on the peaches, the apples are also showing a fair amount of it - any injured fruit is rotting from the spot of the injury. On a few trees I am also seeing spur shoots that are dead. It is similar to fireblight damage but the color of the leaves is not dark like fireblight so I think it is just brown rot shoot blight like I get on my apricots, but on the apples. Has anyone seen that? I am concerned it will hurt my bloom next year if I get too much of it.
