Coffee arabica in Oyama pot and more...

Hi there,

as I was out at Lowe's to replenish my AV potting supplies, I walked by the plant sale table - big mistake! How could I say no to the pretty small leaf varigated Mint Kolibri ivy and the 4" pot of slightly browned coffee arabica?

Anyway, I have a couple of questions about the coffee plant. There is not sign of pests, it has 4 different stalks, and many of the leaves have dry brown spots on them. Can I leave them on or should I take them off? Also, I'm planning to repot it with different soil (1/4 peat, 1/4 perline, 1/2 potting soil), but in the same size pot. They should be kept moist all the time, right? How do you think this plant would fare in an Oyama pot (in a soiless mix)?

Any other ideas to make it comfortable in the house? My window options are either SE or NW.

Thanks,

Britta
