When you spray, you must first ID what the problem is, then use an appropriate product at the correct time.

Nice rant but it really has nothing to do with this thread.

The "off chance" was the off chance that Bonide Fruit Tree would actually do anything about any disease because it is well known that it doesn't have enough strength do much for any disease or insect.

I know what the disease problems were, a little rust and a lot of scab but I had given up on fixing them further this year because of all the rain.
I was going to spray malathion for Apple Maggot anyway and the Bonide has worked with that in the past so I decided to try that since it might offer disease protection too.

You know, it was you who threw out a useless rant when I had originally asked what malathion damage to McIntosh looked like, my post got bumped down and was never answered because of your rant. Perhaps if it was allowed to stay at the top of the page until someone who had actually seen malathion damage to McIntosh answered I would have not damaged my apples this year with the Bonide or "contaminated the environment with needless pesticide". (FYI, The pesticide wasn't the needless part the fungicide was. The malathion was going to be sprayed one way or another.)
So I sarcastically thank you for your "help" on this issue last year, and you only have yourself to thank for me needlessly spraying the Bonide, contaminating the environment and hurting the keeping qualities of my apples.

I know you like to set yourself up as a chemical expert but if you don't have a real answer you really should hold your tongue until an answer is offered so the thread stays at the top of the page, which appropriately has nothing to do with your reply in this thread since I was offering information to my own unanswered question and not asking a question.
