Brown Rot on Peaches

letsski

I have had a bad problem with Brown Rot the last few years on my Babcock Peaches. They exhibit all of the signs - early tip wilt with some die back, then the fruit develops normally until just about ripe.

Then about 70% of the fruit develop a brown spot radiating from the bottom of the fruit, rapidly rotting as the spot grows larger.

I successfully use a copper dormant spray in November, January and February to control Peach Leaf Curl and I have no other problems. Additionally, I fertilize at the beginning of the growing season, which I should probably discontinue.

I Googled "Brown Rot" and read that Orbit is recommended as being useful, although I am not able to find it.

Any suggestions on alternative sprays or suppliers of Orbit?

I live in the SF Bay Area.

Thanks!
