How about "Don't tread on me"? Or "Touch only with your eyes"? Or "No shoes allowed"? Or "Fragile, handle with care"?

I can understand the little boys curiosity, but the woman letting her dog go through your garden--how rude. That almost makes you want to do one that says "Private Property" or "No Trespassing". However, doubt that someone like that would get the message no matter what the sign said.

I live on a one lane thtough street and cars and people end up in my yard. It is frustrating that I pay taxes on it yet the county gets to make use of it.I finally got the neighbors to quit parking in my yard.I said I reall didnt pay all this money for this property so everyone could use it as a parking lot.The problem is I have 300 ft frontage and they all have about 60-80 ft. The lawn trucks and trailors are the worse. We have begun planting things close but not ON the road.I wouldnt mind people as much as I mind the stupid guy down the street who bikes whike his Big dog runs beside him and craps in my yard. I do not want to put up a fence and have a pedestrian not be able to get off the street and get run over either. I am planting shrubs slowly that will grow towards the easement which is only about 18" to the street!

We put up a sign in a neighbor where we had a problem that said: Smile, you are on Candid Camera" and you could draw a camera on one. We had a pole up with an old camera on it.
I have a sign that just shows a dog crappin and a big red circle and hash line over it. I would make one of those and then hang some plastic bags on it. Now you know they do not want to pick it up, so they will try to keep their dog out of it. Or put spiked poles into the garden about 1 foot tall.
That would work for the cars also. Just at the edge of your property and paint them up bright so they will show up. A person can still step off the road but cars will not want to park on a spike. Put a sign up saying Puncture Danger and a pic of a tire with a spike in it. Tie a plant to it so it appears to be a plant stake, lol.

How about society garlics, beautiful flower and it stinks to high heaven if one gets on it.

On the bird area, put a sign saying 'quiet nursery zone', or 'do not disturb the babies' 'Caution, Killer Condor on Duty'.

"Furture Flowers, Tred with Care"

How about "No Feet Allowed, unless you fly, crawl, or grow"

When we moved to this house 4 yrs ago we had simular tresspassers, not just the neighbors, their dogs,& kids, but also any visitors they had parking us either out of our driveway or in, so when we needed to leave we had to ask them to move. I posted a private drive sign out front but appartently none of them have learned to read. Good luck to you, maybe you can find a solution and I can copy you. Lou

So you know who the person with the dog was? And you know the little guy. I would explain to the child what is and what is not acceptable. If he is a considerate young man he will understand and abide by your rules. As for the woman with the dog, I would nicely tell her once that her behavior does not fly. After that she actually is trespassing on your property with or without a sign. I don't have much tolerance for people like that and you don't have to either. You are well within your rights and what's reasonable to call the police or sheriff department.

There are some great ideas for signs here! We had a similiar problem to Lou's -- we had a sign made that said "Please don't block the neighbor's drive". We have a church across the street and some members of the congregation needed to be educated! It works nicely.
