Thrift Store Findings!!!!!

For all you garden junkers and junkettes I have to share this with you. I found two blue items Monday morning and this is jus the beginning of a soon to be a garden masterpiece. I can't wait to find more blue glass. Come Monday I'll be scoping out my store again. I hope you are all enjoying springtime!!!!!!!! :)

Cool, I have some of those blue bottles! We save all our "pretty" wine bottles and keep them on a ledge in our basement stairwell. Guess I should use some of them! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Love that candle chandelier thingy in the background!

You need the coat to go check out your garden or see what is buried under snow at least or shovel it, can't work out if you are cold! I think the cat is a hoot!! I'd smile every time I went by it! The shovel & rooster plaques are really neat too. Great haul & wonderful prices! Jan

Pretty flowers! I do the same thing with beads but I strip old jewelry. Although I have been known to do belts too. Be sure to post pictures of your finished projects. I bet the flowers would make cool solar lights. I love those little vases too. Bob and I went to a thrift store today. Well we went there yesterday too. I just bought some books yesterday and Bob got some hardware for cabinets (knobs and hinges). I saw a dresser I liked and couldn't decide if I wanted it or not. When we were checking out, we found out that all furniture, books, glassware, etc. would be half off today! So we had to go back. So now you know what I do on my vacation days! lol!

nice piece jasdip... we don't have freecycle either :( i will def, try the chicken marbella this week, always looking for a great new recipe... made two last week from cooking light grilling magazine that we all enjoyed: teriyaki shrimp and scallop kababs, i used filet steak instead of scallops. we love scallops but i had the filets in the freezer so i used them. and i made Spicy grilled chicken over Sweet peppers, came out fantastic. this week i am going to make "grilled salmon with east-west spice rub and orange soy glaze", so we shall see how that comes out. i also got this cookbook from thrift store in the winter for $.50..... all their paperbacks are $.50 and hardcover $1.00

Nice finds. I love cobalt bottles. I have some to finally make a bottle tree if I can decide how I want to do the base part.
I'd LOVE to see a photo of that chandelier ? in the background, looks wonderful.

Sorry, rmlanza. I suffer from "Blonde Brain" disease. It's been there all my life, but I find that as I get older, it has really progressed beyond control(especially late at night-which is when I saw the post). I have not yet found the proper meds to control this. I even tried to be a redhead once, but that didn't work either.LOL
As I get older, I find that the body gets larger and the brain gets smaller!

Great finds!

FYI...for those looking for blue bottles...if you happen to be wine drinkers, there is a really good Riesling that comes in cobalt blue bottles. I can't remember the brand name, but there's a little guy in a lederhosen on the bottle. Tasty!

Thought I'd let you know that the George & Martha Washington Goblet are from AVON! My dear mother gave me a pair some 25 years ago! She also gave me a small creamer but can't remember what is on it. All three were sold by AVON (she was a representative for many years) and they came with a candle. I still have these but packed away!

gardengirl, I'm brunette and suffer from blonde brain disease myself! ;o) I think it's also known as ADD...hee hee. Adderall is a wonderful drug AND it makes me not want to eat, hence the return of my high school figure (well, not quite...let's just say high school weight after having 3 kids...sigh). At least there's something positive about being an airhead (not you, ME!). LOL!

There's also a sake by Momokawa that comes in cobalt bottles and a blueberry wine (FANTASTIC) from Dennis Vineyards (here in NC) that's in cobalt. We ordered a case of their different berry wines a few years ago, wish I'd kept more of the bottles!
