My new garden and thrift store finds

I've been working hard! Check out my new garden and some of the thrift store goodies I've gotten this week! I also have a pic of my first of the 10 freebie bowling balls I told you about earlier. It was so cute, I didn't do anything to it!

Cool stuff! Love your moon garden. Although in MS I don't know how you can enjoy it with all the mosquitoes! ha (transplanted Mississippian)

I haven't gotten my TS fix this week, but got a few garden items given to me by my brother so I guess that could count. Good shopping!! I like how you've used everything. ~Anj

EVERYTHING is BEAUTIFUL. Including the cat, who seems really happy with her new napping area. Of course I'd love a moon garden, LOL. I saved your page to keep looking at, you've done such a fantastic job on each thing. What luck to find such pretty bowling balls to use too. That milkglass totem stand for one really got me. WOW.
I love it all.

Sorry you are laid up! is it your driving foot? that makes it even worse. TS's are great, when I broke my right wrist & right foot up by ankle I treated it myself- don't recommend that but I had no insurance & I knew they were going to take me into surgery for my wrist. I stablized it with ace bandage & 3 tongue depressers. After 3-4 days I wanted something a little more secure so hobbled into TS got a leather & steel wrist support & some heel cups (I had slipper on that foot) the heel cups are a thick lambs wool like stuff with a rough outside . I knew they would wear out fast & they only had 3 of them so I got out the grey duct tape, well that almost killed me as duct tape pretty well takes 2 hands to pull it out & you have to hold it & cut it. Anyway it took long time but I covered the bottom of the heel thing with duct tape, it cushions the poor sore foot & without it I would have been laid up a long time. I couldn't use crutches or a walker. I hopped about at end of 12 weeks went to chiropractor & asked him if he would x- ray that was bit of a shock! both bones had broke 1/2 way between wrist & elbow & were doing nicely went back where they should be, but both bones broke off at wrist 1 on inside of arm was healing well outside bone was a lump in my hand that dissolved eventually & I grew a covering for the missing bone so it quit feeling like my hand was missing after several months. Moral is don't treat yourself & more important don't look down when coming down a ladder beside a brick divider!! So Micki see if you can get ahold of some of those heel cups as it really makes it so much better while healing! Prayers for speedy recovery!! Jan

You need the coat to go check out your garden or see what is buried under snow at least or shovel it, can't work out if you are cold! I think the cat is a hoot!! I'd smile every time I went by it! The shovel & rooster plaques are really neat too. Great haul & wonderful prices! Jan

Thank you Sherri. The marigolds are volunteers from the small bed I planted up against our sunroom 5 years ago when we first moved in. I have not planted a marigold since...just keep moving one or two to someplace else and they just self seed. They are my perennial annuals! :) Kath

Thanks everyone!I had no idea....I just really liked how they looked! This store is full of nice vintage lamps.I wonder what other treasures are there? Forgot to add, I'm the one that also bought that oak barrel table and chair set. They are being reupholstered now and I'll post pics when they are done. Along with my vintage Castiglioni Arco Lamp that I inherited from my mom (that she named George for reasons unknown to me), my basement is turning into quite the swanky pad. Haha! I have to say my favorite is the plate sign...what an adorable idea! Did you hang them with plate hangers? I also love the milk glass totem. Great ideas you've got there girl!

The gazing ball on the milk totem...did you design that ?...surely there is no bowling ball that shiny and pretty (?) Cat's make a garden complete.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Pesky...yes, they are on the fence with plate hangers. As for that gazing ball Ashli, I bought it! Sorry, I'm not that talented!!! I got it at Hobby Lobby 1/2 price. They're having a sale on all their garden stuff if you have one near by.

Wow..this looks so beautiful. I love how the white looks in the garden. You did a wonderful job with this! Oh and that kitty of yours....sooooo cute! Love her lounging on the bench...she looks great in your garden..lol.

Find someone who knows how to weld!!! :) I couldn't have done it without my dad's help. A wooden one would probably be a lot easier.

You have lots of great things! I'm not even going to try and put things outside this year--Just cleaning out the weeds and doing the best I can after the couple of years taking care of Bill and NOT working in the garden.
Welding-I wish I knew how--Have a welding thingy and a plasma cutter. Just didn't have the time to learn how to use them.

Thanks so much! Yes, they are old tires. I just painted them white. I have another I painted with flowers all over it. I keep my hose coiled up in it. I'll take a picture of it and post it on my website later.
