Nona, I took another look at your pavers--yes, I did look before--see so much on here, I just can't remember it all! LOL What I hadn't noticed before were the painted auto wheels--those are cool! Good way to recycle too. And I loved your painted coffeepots--you are a very good painter. Sounds like you have pretty much "done it all" at one time or another, haven't you? So nice to have someone with your experience to guide the rest of us. Cacbeary, Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy the painting, but often am too critical of my own work. Sometimes a piiece I didn't think was very good will look better to me a few weeks or months later! Isn't that funny? The pavers are one of the easiest things to paint--however, don't use your good brushes because the rough surface is pretty hard on the brushes. Luvs

Thanks for sending folks to my site. Since my DD fixed it, I have done others. A bumblebee, a leprechaun, scarecrow, and Santa faces. But she hasn't had time to add them. And I am computer illiterate. Mine are mostly for the outside, so I don't have added parts, except for hats. I use Walmart spray paint for my sealer-base coat, then add the other acrylic colors I need. Use a lot of black and white gesso, too.

Thanks Luvs, my favorite ornies over the years are the simple ones. My daughter took pics for me last year as I was packing them away. Anyone looking for some simple ones, feel free to look at my album above. Some of the easiest ones were the felt candles... just glued green and yellow felt onto a clothespin, the Jingle Bell Rock...have done all sizes, from palm size to large outside one, and I think the snowman head made from a makeup remover puff, and a green felt hat was one of the biggest hits with the grands! Oh...and next to that one is a snowman cut from the extra piece of vertical blind we got for our sliding door. Here in NH we are without power since Thurs. and they are saying we won't get it back till Wed.!! I have been staying at SIL's but tomorrow we are going to brave it and go home. Someone is lending us a generator. Hope the pipes have not already broken. Anyway, I probably won't be on for a while so I hope everyone has a Christmas full of love and happiness. Remember to enjoy all the little things that we take for granted... like running water!! heehee
