Leggy strawberry plants

Last year I bought several Quinault strawberry plants. They didn't do much last year but this spring they had a really big flush of berries. They are still producing a few here and there and the plants seem generally healty.

My question is they seem pretty leggy. They've grown a lot. I am watering them several times a week and I'm wondering should I trim them back now? Thin the plants? I expected them to be more compact but they are really stretching out a lot and look unkempt.

Just wondering if I'm not doing something that I should be for the plants.
