I was just looking at my pic since I just took it and hadn't really esamined it. And it struck me that keys might make interesting wings! Btw Donna I love your bug especially the handle face! Just for fun here is another pic I just took of the bird garden art that we had given to my mil, and got back when she moved out of her condo. I don't remember what it cost but it was more than I would have paid for myself, lol. Its supposed to be beautiful here today, and dh has taken the day off from work. Hooray!! kathy

I have a mesh one that we got free, by going to the ladies house and taking it down. But that was the year Bill was diagnosed with cancer and the started all that hurricane business, and it is still out in the back yard. (I still have shed and porch roofs that need to be fixed.) I guess I will have to get my son-in -law or Brother-in -law to help me--as soon as I get the weeds, etc cleared up after a couple of years of neglect, while I took care of Bill. It's slow going right now!

jen - you have a green stinkbug, I think. I just squish them with my fingers. You can also buy a pump spray bottle of liquid sevin, and hit him with that. That works well, also. Does it look like this?

Last night was the second battle in this war, and thanks to Janet's link I made far more progress than the night before. 1) The dish soap/water combo in a spray bottle is great. Many of the buggers die within a couple minutes. I wonder if the soapy film protects the plants for the rest of the night? Maybe I'll get up really early and check sometime... 2) Janet was also right that soy & oil works far better than beer (yippee for me! The negro modelo stays inside tonight). I put out four little dishes, two with soy & corn oil and two with beer. The beer traps only had one earwig; the others had 40 or so.

Break, I want that PURPLE bottle, LOL. Great stuff, glad you shared with us. The tea cup chandelier is fantastic!
And I want a baker's rack to put outside so badly, yours is really a pretty one.

love the chandiler what did you use to cut the bottom part out of the cups and plates to add them onto the light? I have been trying to figure this out lol have everything but the instructions lol thanks

Just wondering about the post by 'mojojojogrlnj' Seems the link to "Elegant Relic" is nothing more than advertising a website of antique wares to purchase. Is advertising like this allowed? Nothing to do with garden junk, just wanting us to buy?

Thanks for all your sweet comments. Some of the bottles are from the $1 store, including the purple one. My cousin gave me several old bottles that was found on my uncles farm. The wind blows threw them and makes a wonderful sound.

I no longer have the chandiler, traded it for the birdhouse. It was very hard to keep tidy, rain etc. the fun part was in the making.

Oh I love all your things,especially the chandelier birdfeeder,wish I had one with glass on it like that! Cute bug! You have some very pretty glass hanging up there, I bet it just sparkles! Everything is so pretty :)

Mojo, I made one, I didn't cut the cup or saucer, I cut the lights out then glued the cup and saucer together,then glued that to the chandelier.
