Joe, the two most common diseases doing what you are seeing are septoria leaf spot and blackberry rust. My guess would be the former since it is more common. My recollection is dormant lime-sulphur is the best treatment. Lime-sulphur is organic. Since you may be past dormant season you could still spray a less potent strength I expect but look up some guidelines for treatment of the disease with Google to get the details. But, before you do anything search for pictures of various blackberry leaf diseases and figure out which one you have for certain. Then search for treatments for that. Danny Clark, I do not know the plant well enough to be specific; but the evidence (about 400 plants) suggests an intensive operation. It is easy for a fungus (my guess) to proliferate under such conditions. That you have had to cull 50 plants indicates an infection that has taken hold. My suggestion is to positively identify the causative organism; separate the remaining plants into 3 well defined areas. Space them adequately to facilitate air circulation. Classify them as "Good" "Going" and "Gone". Obtain a chemical (I cannot think of an alternative) which targets the pathogen/pest and,as a bonus, also lists the site (Boxwood) on the label. Apply to all three groups at the curative rate. Thereafter, apply at varying intervals to each group. The worst affected group can be treated at the shortest interval; and the "Good" group at the longest interval. Observe at weekly (at the very least) intervals; shift plants from one group to another as you see appropriate; and cull - ruthlessly! I wish you luck - sincerely! Because I know from experience, that you will need some of that also.

Any damage that is showing on your plants is mechanical - that means it came to be from shipping and other transport, handling or jostling. It is not the result of diseases or insects nor does it look like any watering issues. In reality, these plants look pretty darn good considering most big box stores do not take the slightest bit of care with their plants (hence the evidence of damage you are seeing). As to fertilizing, you need to identify your plants and then do a bit of research, as not all plants benefit from similar fertilization methods nor do they require it at the same time. Cacti and succulents have different needs than do tropical foliage plants and flowering houseplants (orchids, African violets, flowering gift plants) have yet another set of needs. In general, an all purpose liquid fertilizer used at 1/2 to 1/3 strength with every other watering is appropriate for most tropicals during their primary growing season (March through October) but you can get by with quite a bit less. I'd suggest you post this on the House Plants forum both to get accurate ID's on your plants and their advice as to when, how much and with what to best fertilize what you have.

Yes, it has drainage holes- I left it in it's nursery pot. I put rocks/gravel at the bottom of the "decorative pot" that sits on the floor and the nursery pot sits on top of the gravel so it won't sit in water.
