transforming my secret santa gift in the garden

My lovely birdhouse was my secret santa gift and I immediayely put it in the garden.

I found a sewr pipe and thought what could I do with it to jazz it up

so I broke some old plates and mosaiced the pipe

while garage saling I found this cherub for 50 cents. I put her in the garden and thought she looked too seductive for a cherub and faeries usually have clothes on. What could I do?

I decided a nice fluffy bed of purple allysum was what she needed but had the hardest time finding them.Finally I bought a pack of seeds and found a pot of them that had seen better days. They will do until the seeds come up.

Oooooooooh is that pretty! Love the colors you used on the sewer pipe. They match so well with the birdhouse. I love it! That sexy little cherub is cute too!

Oh, I do want to share some photos! I lurk around all the local thrifts and GSs for bits and bobs and then make mosaic birdhouses out of found pieces. It'd be really fun to share them. However, I'm still trying to figure out how to get photos here. I know I need to join a website first (to post some of my pics) which I think will allow the pics to be changed to a smaller "resolution". THEN I can work on importing them here. Do you know which site most people use for their pictures? (I've looked at Photo bucket) I'd like to be able to imbed pics right in messages here rather than link. Thanks for any help anyone can give!

Thank you for your kindness. We enjoyed making this birdhouse and will have to make some more! We have boxes and boxes of rustic treasures in the garage which Kirk's brother gave us. (Kirk's brother is a bigger collector than Kirk! Runs in the family! Tee hee!) The horseshoe is attached with short, rustic nails. None of the nails went all the way through the wood. Kirk attached the back with screws so the back can be taken off and the house can be cleaned. Thank you again. Carol

Looks wonderful! The mosaiced pc. adds to the bdhse. & the flowers are so just "eye-candy" that is needed here! The little cherub is cute there lying in the new flowers. Good work! Jeanne S.

That pipe looks great and is making me more determined to learn to mosaic. Top of my list soon as the garage is cleaned out. I found that same little cherub in GW awhile back. I have no idea why, but I painted him "bronze". He's resting in my fairy garden watching them.

Love it! Love it! Your jazzed up poopy pipe was the perfect lift for a delightful gift. Everybody's sewer pipes should be so cool! lol!
I'd like my "guardian cherub" to be just like me, seductive. You could draw a fig leaf on him. lol!
All kidding aside, I think you've done a wonderful job putting this little vinette together. The purple is wonderful with all the green.

I absolutely LOVE this!!!! It is sooo GAWJUS!!! The whole color spectrum is harmonious and soothing. And I LOVE the mosaiced pipe! I would love to find plates with those colors!! I'm also quite partial to Salvias and love the farinacea that you planted. What a lovely spot to sit by and admire! I'm setting my chair there now!
