Will wasps pollinate my butternut squash like honey/bumblebees

I have a small butternut squash patch going right now. They are starting to produce male and female flowers. Back in the spring when I had my summer garden I didn't have many bees around and had to hand-pollinate my summer squash.

Today I noticed a wasps nest about the size of a tennis ball on the fence near my garden with a lot of wasps on it. I'd been seeing the wasps in the yard but just found their nest today.

I was planning to knock it down, but then I wondered if those wasps would pollinate my squash if I leave it alone? Or serve any other beneficial purpose to my garden?

Thanks for any help:)
