FALL GARDENING7 Reasons Not to Clean Up Your Fall Garden
Before you pluck and rake, consider wildlife, the health of your plants and your own right to relax
Full StoryI've been looking into some grain or seed I can grow in the garden next year for some homegrown protein and flour. I think Amaranth and/or Quinoa is the way to go because they are much easier to thresh as well as being better protein sources. I have found instructions on planting but not much more.
Has anyone out there grown Amaranth or Quinoa for seed purposes (and foliage)?
Are there many furry pest problems because I was thinking I could grow a good amount on the outside of the garden fence around the perimeter?
Thanks!
