First I've heard of them, but that sounds like why my apples have. As it appears more cosmetic than anything I think I'll wait and see on this one. The adults are worthwhile predators according to one link I followed, so it's nice to have them from that regard. It kinda sounds like there will be some years when they're more active than others.
