I buy peel and stick on labels at the dollar store and write the name and sometimes the color and height on the label and stick it on the cell pack or flat that I'm going to be planting in before I plant the seeds. I sit down at the kitchen table with the labels and seed packages before I go to plant and write out all the names so they are ready to stick on. I usually do this when I'm having my morning coffee. I use an ultra fine sharpie marker so that even if the label gets wet the ink stays. The labels stick just fine to any container and if I reuse the container I just stick another label over the other one or try to peel it off often without success You could really do that at any time and store the labels with the seeds so that when you are ready to plant you have them. I learned long ago that the memory is faulty when you are staring at a bunch of containers all the same. I used to keep a planting book but I found bundling up the seed packages and securing with an elastic with a slip of paper or label with the date works just as well. I sow all the seeds according to planting date so there are usually multiple sowings at once

I understand it's pretty easy. And required by law in some jurisdictions (like ours). Who installed the ventilation system? I think that's a pretty big booboo, though apparently done all the time. I think if you mention it to the installer they'll do a gratifying two-hands-over-mouth, wide-eyed "oops", be so red with embarrassment they'll fall over themselves getting over there fast enough to fix it. Could be wrong of course, but I do think this is like forgetting to put oil in the car after an oil change ... well, maybe that's a bad analogy; your house won't blow up. But it's really not the done thing though forgotten distressingly often enough. Just call and mention it. Even if they want to charge you something really, they should have known to have installed it so they ought to give you a substantial price break. It was the professional's job to tell you about it. IMO. ....on second thought I imagine the difficulty might depend on how much stuff is between the hood and the cap; springs and braces, etc. Regardless, you need to do it. Let the installer make excuses....

Do you have a garbage disposal in that sink? If a GD is going to go in you won't need one as the GD comes w/its own. If no GD or you have a 2-bowl sink, then you will need a strainer...
