Here is the stepping stone portion of the POTM. I found these last year and wanted to add to them before putting in the garden. Now I wonder if I should hang them on the fence. No mosaic, just some bling.

I actually did come up with a good idea looking at the news story.....a multi layered garden direction sign with a moving part using the 3 basic colors.....yeah. Cause I had hit a wall on folk art - I know what it is but no ideas popped in this old brain. Now what to put on each sign. I guess if I figure out where to put it, I could point to different parts of the garden, like TX garden, GPas maters, Bird Feeder and such. But will see.

bright: Yes, I have to admit I have a boot birdhouse in the garden (forget what I did with its partner?) I took a red pair (that I got at two seperate trips to a TS) and made a birdhouse and a lamp for my bedroom (packed right now). Sheri I will post my old boot birdhouse (really a spiderhouse for GSs). I drilled a hole with a hole drill. Screwed in a roost under hole. I used flashing for roof (I have seen old license plates used) and decorated it with a nail punch design. Use a piece of wire in the boot straps to hold it up. I see the toe is curled from weather. If you search the internet you will find pics and directions even. June

DD wanted me to hang to the right of the walk way to the front door which is to the right of the white table and chairs on small 'porch'. There was a blank spot and to the right are 2 huge roses. I have pots on 4 white shepherds hook along there also. The vine you see peeking in from the left is one of our pink jasmines that froze but still bloomed and smell devine. Asiatic lily at bottom and yes a kitty food and water bowl.

Those are great! I agree, perfect that they're on the fence where all can enjoy those great sayings. I especially love: 'Live as though heaven is on earth'. May have to borrow that one and put it somewhere in my garden.

June, those look really cute. I'm collecting dog ear boards to cover the chain link fence on my slope and will probably hang some of my junk on it when it's done. There's probably enough junk in this yard to cover miles of fences,lol. We washed the boards today, 20 running feet so far, and will be sanding and painting it over the next few days. As for the March POTM, I've got the window, but haven't done it yet. Guess I'll post it whenever it gets done. Linda

I have those same stepping stones. I love how you decorated yours. I was thinking of hanging them on something to display them but how did you do that? did you drill holes to hang them or something else? I have a nice place for them in my childrens garden but I also think they need to hang instead of sit on the ground.

cindee: I have never used the plate hangers for the wall but I got some at the $Tree. I had to bend and adjust them to go around the gems but also cause they are smaller than plates. After I did the first one the others were easier.

Linda, thought of you earlier last week. I got a freecycle gate and it had a Beware of Dog sign on it. DH wants to put it on out fence out back where there is a big dog next door. Dog named Wimpy, lol.

June, those look great hung there. Love your neighbor's dogs name--that is too funny. LOL

Linda found me a window too, but all I've done to it so far is clean it. It will get "prettied up" one of these days.
