Thanks everyone- I think I have decided not to grout, because I kind of like it the way it is too. I can't wait until spring comes, so I can put it outside and see what the sun hitting it looks like. Is there a recommended spray I should coat it with for weather protection that won't dull the look? Or is it ok to leave it alone?

Oldcrafty, you could have a Garden Junk Bunco party...but then again, everyone would fight to take the blue bottles home! LOL I shined the pennies up with some copper shine I had. I tried a variety of methods from Coke to baking soda and the copper shine worked the best. I then sprayed a shiny sealant on top. It has tarnished a bit since the picture but not much. Your cross sounds beautiful! I would love to see a picture. :o) Betty, welcome!!!! I hope you post a picture of your bottle tree! Sounds neat!!! I had to stabilize mine with rocks. I glued together the pieces as well. I really want to see yours...you could sell them! I bought a really nice heavy one at Gardener's Supply online. We found the smaller blue bottles at Walmart in the wine department. My wife also found some at a beer/wine making shop. Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Not a mess at all, girlie. It's just the character of GE II. It's a love/hate thing I have about the stuff. It looks great, and when you get it cleaned up, it'll be another Janeybo spectacular. I LOVE the tower and BB. You did a fantastic job on both. Your speed is to be desired. You'll have a whopping sale when you get to it.

Beautiful! oooooooh. I love the mirrored ones even more than the gems. very pretty! hey I gave you a link to orange mirror in the orange bb thread, it's sold out right now but they have tons of colors.

thanks for the link I looked at those they are so pretty too. I just ordered some plain orange tiles to do my next bb. Maybe after that I will try the mirrored ones(-:

You know...I loved the stand you had the red one sitting in...(that was you wasn't it?)

But I love the rock even more I think...Rocks I have...(no..not in my head...well...I don't think anyway.)

Is there anyplace to buy those color mirrors besides online?

Pattico, you would need to find a stained glass supply. It's actually silver backed stained glass. While some craft stores like hobby lobby carry glass, we get a bigger better selection from large companies like Delphi but that's in sheets that you cut yourself. I posted Maria's link because she precuts and offers several sizes. I ordered cobalt blues there this morning.

Hi Cindy,

I just asked a question about your tipsey pot. I would also like to ask a question about your bowling balls.

Do you plug the hole before you start? If so, what do you use?

Also, if you want to paint it first, what kind of paint do you use.

I have two bowling balls I would love to do something with--I have stands I found to put them on. One is a tall brass lamp that looks nice.

I plugged the two holes with wood filler then painted with a can type spray on paint from WM. I left one hole so I could set it on a piece of rebar
