Someone must be getting rid of their teapot collection. I went last Sat. to the local thrift store and scored 2 more teapots. I love the design. I also wanted to let those of you who have a Dollar Tree in your area know that they have these beautiful colored plates in the store, all for $1.00 each. They would be great to use in totems. I think the bright yellow matches the sun teapot perfectly.

I have been a member here for about 5 years, and in that time I have posted maybe half a dozen times. I am almost a daily visitor. The creativity and the amazing amount of work here just blows me away. While I will admit that everyone's taste is not the same, that is the appeal to me. I can do what I can do, and I can see what I can see. I come to see what other people do and what other people see. I have some things in my garden that most folks might not find beautiful. I have a rose planted in a rusty old blue canner on my back porch, and I have a geranium planted in a chamber pot. (I also have a cement chicken, but that's a differnt story) I love all your things. If I want to steal your ideas (and I have: tipsy pots, ladders, et al) I do. If not, I simply look and enjoy, and do not critique what you have worked so hard to make, and get so much enjoyment from. Thank you for so many years of wonderful enjoyment.

I was at TS yesterday & didn't see a single colored glass plate! Did get an adorable antique-looking wooden pelican 16 in. tall of wood on a weathered post with "old" rope & netting & a soda bottle cap painted tan with rounded tack through center of it holding the rope in place. Great gift for DS & wife! Keep looking but probably better luck at yard sales. I think some people make deals with TS owners so pay more for glass or dolls that have good resale value in antique shops as it saves the antique owner time as they don't have to go to sales,1 stop shopping & the TS owner gets more than they could get from us bargain shoppers. I know after 1st few months new TS opens all the colored glassware & dolls disappear, so you know that is when the antique owners "found" the store! I've seen them checking out dolls & said oh, nice dolls & was told they weren't for sale(to me) as I saw the woman looking take several in a bag & those left were put out for $12-15. And I wouldn't pay that. Go early in day this summer & you should have good luck at yard sales. Jan

What a nice selection of "stuff" you got from the TS! I think the yellow "thing" would make a great centerpiece for a table with seasonal decorations and a candle or you could put a birdnest inside with colorful eggs. The wooden posts would be great as holders for teacup and saucer feeders or small decorative birdhouses. The metal type black stakes could be painted bright colors and put in pots as decorative accents (butterflies) and the two with squiggly wire were probably meant to hold votives. Let us see what you do with them!!
