Check out this website. It has a couple of interesting ideas for planters. I haven't had a chance to check out the entire site. There may be more goodies.

I especially like that tin can raised bed! That is gorgeous!

I really like that tire planter. I would
paint the tires. You could use old pallets
for the slats.I would like to plant strawberries
in one and I can just see flowers cascading down
the sides of them.
Mayme in West Michigan where the snow is 2 feet deep
and flowers are just a dream!

love the jim shore angels wings made of keys,and i'd love to incorporate it in one of my own projects(some day). and the other site had some great ideas,love the spindles used in the shelves and angels,and especially the window valance. thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you for posting that website! I've been on the hunt for the perfect moose knob for hubby and something kinda special for me. While most of our cabinets will have standard pulls, I really wanted something tucked away that would make me smile every time I walked into the kitchen. That moose will do it for DH and the musical knob I found for me will do it for me! I have been looking forever for the "perfect" ones, so thank you again very much!

The can planter is pretty neat but then so is the tire planter. I agree, Mayme, it would look better painted. I drink my soft drinks in bottles. I wonder if they would make a good planter filled with dirt? lol I once read in a book that in India, they made homes out of old nylon stockings filled with dirt. They kind of created bricks out of them. It's interesting what you can come up with if you think outside the box.
