new garden lady totem

I finally got a new one done. I received the blue glass from my friend so I decided it would look really nice as a garden lady totem(-: This is a tiny totem. Only about a foot tall total.

1st, I'll be posting one of the teapot totems later today, just need to add the drips & final beading. THIS is my best one yet! 2nd, I'm fortunate to have a flea mkt right near me - auction every Wed. What doesn't sell is usually left for "free-time". Occasionally, someone will buy a whole row & I'll pay 25-50 cents for a teapot. (I get all my "junk" this way) The picture is not my whole stash, just needed to lay some out to get started. For totems, you don't need lids - that's what usually breaks & no one wants just the pot. 3rd, nonacook - I'd love to know what to do w/ lids too! I do have one windchime in mind.

What a lot of great stuff. I love big ugly lamps, but not sure what to do with them so I've only bought a few. Can't wait to see what you do with yours, which is one of the most spectacular ones I've ever seen. (Two of mine are in the bedroom, much to dh's shock and horror.) Kathy BTW, I see you live in NY. If you plan on leaving totems outside in winter, you might consider putting the dishes upside down when you design/build the totem so water doesn't collect and freeze! If its deep enough it could break the glass. Lots of people bring theirs inside the garage or shed. I'm just too old and lazy (plus garage is full).

Love colbalt blue. Nice gal. I can't wait till it warms up a bit so I can start to make these. I can't keep the glassed in porch warm enough to work out there. I'm such a cold wimp, lol.

Oh, Cindee, that is so "delicate" and pretty. Really nice bud vase, and the topper--what was that? As always, you did a great job of putting it together.

I have some candlesticks and small bowls, haven't been able to find any good vases to go with them. I'll keep checking for them, bound to get lucky sometime, right?
