Laundry drying rack...old window?

I have several old windows that a friend gave me...some are broken. I was thinking about using one to hang over a utility sink in my laundry room to use as a drying rack. I have a clothes line that I use in the warmer months but need a place to dry clothes in the colder months. I was thinking I could suspend it from the ceiling and put cup hooks in it and use it to hang clothes on. In warmer months I could hang flowers from it to dry...since it is over the utility sink it wouldn't make such a mess. Has anyone done or seen anything like this? Any better ideas?
