I love your new BLUEBERRY BUSH!!!!!!!! The terracota is a major complement to the blue bottles. Love it - Love it!!

I need brick/red bottles for my home's exterior. I'm thinking about shopping the wine isle at Kroger's. I'll pick out a bottle I like. Then I'll become a rip-roaring wine drinker!!!!!!!!LOL I promise I dont need to do that.

Another idea is to approach a bartender at an Italian restaurant and ask them to save bottles for you. I'm wondering if I could paint the inside of a bottle with glass paint? And do they make that color in glass paint?? I like glass paint because it dries clear. I might start another thread but I've got 10 projects started already. LOL

I have embarrassed my kids to no end by asking for bottles in many different places...If I see a bottle I like I will ask a waitress or bartender or even a shift manager if they will start saving them for me. I used to have a good friend who was a bartender and she saved thousands of bottles for me over the past year. She is no longer doing that but now I have the bartenders at another bar in town saving the coolest ones for me. I have also gone into Olive Garden and asked the waitress if they had any empty wine bottles. Those are the coolest shaped bottles I have ever seen. I want to use them to make a wind chime if I ever get brave enough to try cutting them.

If you can't find the perfect color of red you can always make it...if it is a brick red that you are striving for mix a little bit of brown paint with the red to tone it down to the right color. Just a tiny bit at a time or it is easy to go too brown and have to bring it back up...

Hey, that's a bottle "tree" that even I can make on my little balcony! I will have to start looking around for bottles. Now what sort of flexible cable did you use? It's not rebar is it? I like how you have some of them arched over. Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm going to add them to my personal inspriation album!

I love that bush .I am wanting to make a bottle tree .I have the bottle and the rebar .Just do not have a welder but I have somthing in mind I am going to do .I am lucky DS works for wine com.but does not see many blue.

I made this one till I collected more bottles...now I work at a recycling depot and people bring in blue bottles lots!!! I have about 40 now!!!!

Thanks for the comments about my garden also. It is a continual work in progress. We are on water restrictions, so I've had to change my watering habits.

smickerdoodle ~ Just keep looking for those blue gems, they are out there. We happened to get a good deal on the wine that was in these blue bottles from our local grocery. The name of the wine was RELAX. We enjoy wine with our dinner at night. If any of you don't drink wine, you can always use the wine in cooking, which adds wonderful flavor to dishes, and the alcohol evaporates.

Flower, your bottle bush just made up my mind, LOL. I've been collecting blue bottles for a tree, but kept thinking I might do a bush instead. Just wasn't sure how it would look or how to do it. You sure showed me!!
