My Odd Bowling Ball

I did this bowling ball out of aquarium rocks. I'll never do it again though. It was a pain getting all those little rocks on there.

May have been a pain, but the results are wonderful! Hope you'll post another pic of it in the garden. Very pretty.

Well, looks easy. You just put the rocks in a bowl, cover the ball half way in glue and roll it in tbe gravel, lol. Just being silly. I would not even try to do it. No, it is great and you get the prize for making one that is original and never before done. It does look like it took a lot of time and patience.

Very nice! Has to be your personal preference (I'd probably go a light color grout) ...have you looked at the BB in the GJ Inspirational album? Thank you so much for wanting to add it to the gallery!! How exciting for me!! Believe it or not, the ball started out with a totally different design. On two other sides there are dragonflies, but I couldn't continue that pattern without screwing it up more & more as I went along, so finally I decided to go with this swirl pattern & it filled in perfectly & I wished I had done the whole thing that way. That came out great! What kind of glue did you use? I did one with river rocks and used a pre-mixed concrete patch and it went pretty fast. I love the colors of yours...it's going to be spectacular in the garden.

I think that ball is gorgeous! I just love the colors of aquarium rocks. I always wanted to make a small "stream" in the garden with the blue rocks, but it would take way too many bags!

I think it looks pretty cool! Very different from so many others I have seen. Those colors will look wonderful in the garden. You will have to post a picture of it amongst the flowers!

Seen lots of BB's with lots of different rocks
but never with aquarium rocks! You did great! It's nice and bright.

Your BB is so pretty! If I may suggest, a better stand will do it justice. I can see it now, on a large coppery or metal type candle holder, or perhaps a round chafing dish holder?
