do you have chickens? if so give it to them. mine love sweet corn on the cob. doesn't take long for them to devour a few cobs.

Yes. Corn cobs make great soup stocks.

Sounds to me that you may have picked it too early. That's the only time I've seen watery corn, but haven't had that much rain. Picked too early and watery is a good description.

I agree with fruitnut: let the ears stand a few more days. If you're in the northeast, the rainy pattern is finally breaking, so see if a few days of improved weather helps the quality of the corn.

I will leave some on but i really do not think it was picked too early. The corn has been on for 25 days now. It has already turned to its light golden color. I popped a few kernels on each ear i picked and each one was very milky. I picked an ear on day 20, day 22 and i picked some yesterday. Aside from the rain, we also had no sun for 4 days straight last week, and its been 5 days now since we've had any sun. I am thinking the combination of rain and lack of sunlight has caused this. But as i said, i have plenty of ears, so i will give it a few more days.

I don't pay any attention to days because it's not a constant. Check the ears, that's all that matters.

Lack of sun is probably more a concern than excess rain. That assumes good soil drainage.
