Happy New Year

Well here it is ....almost another year behind us. Can hardly believe how fast time flies...and I certainly don't want to blame it on "old age" !!! Though with the rising cost of health insurance I am getting kinda anxious to get on Medicare....I think!! May all my friends in GJ have a very healthy, prosperous and a Blessed New Year. May everyone find a ton of good garden junk that they just can't pass up and the great imagination it takes to repurpose it.

Katy, Logee's is certainly an adventure in itself. I've been going there for years. My first times were when Joy Martin was running it. Even squeezing through the aisles single file is worth it. So many exotic plants growing over, under and around! It's only about a 40 minute ride for me. I don't know of any other greenhouses that have that kind of variety. The botanical center at Roger Williams Park here in Providence is big and interesting. There's a $3 admission though. Lunch afterwards would not be a problem. Providence has tons of great restaurants. Maybe some others here would be interested in one of these or something else. Bill

Michelle, I received my seeds today !! What a wonderful treat it is to find such an awesome collection of seeds waiting for me in the mailbox after a long day at work ... Get back to sewing for sure! Last year was not a good year for so many reasons, but this will be better. I worked on cleaning up my sewing room because DH is having a birthday party for me on Saturday and we need the room for the kiddos coming to watch a movie in. On Sunday, it is full speed ahead putting it back to sewing and get going! I have a dinosaur quilt top finished and sandwiched and started the quilting - baby is due on the 7th, so it will be late. I have a Japanese fan quilt top ready to sandwich and quilt - it's a commissioned quilt so need to get it finished! I need to make another baby quilt for friend's granddaughter due in March. After that - need to work on using up some of the scraps I have. (boxes and boxes of!) Looking forward to a new year with a lot less stress! Sue

Have a Happy & Healthy New Year! Hope everyone can find lots of goodies to make new treasures! Wait a bit tho, looks much to slick on the roads this time of year. Fla is having a cold spell & middle U.S. looks like a whiteout!! Put a blanket or 2 in your vehicles & drive safe everybody!Oh, be sure to use antifreeze in your radiators all you folks in warmer climates that have turned cold or your engine can get damaged. Jan

May we all have a great New Year and if you're like me and have resolutions I wish you the strength to keep the ones that mean the most!

My biggies this year are (Again) to quit smoking, to (Again) be healthier and to (Again) organize my household.
