Ok, I'm moving this post to conversation side... Miss Susiesunshine is on a roll! Garden Junk Swingers! Are there more of us out there?

This is Nellie and me ... it was either this pic with her foot in my crouch or else she's on my lap with my face covered!! My dh does not quite "compose" the photos he shoots!

YEp, I'm in the Garden Junk Swingers Club. I cannot finish some of the projects I start too.

Here are some photos of my with my hubby Todd, or my boys, Sean 15 and Nathan 12.They were taken different years with in the last 5.

I've been in a state of depression for over a week. Must be the gray weather we're having. Anyway...thank you all for making me giggle!!!! You are the most creative folks and I wish you were all my neighbors :-) I want a water bed now and I want a tub with a flowerpot person. DH is going to flip with another one of my crazy ideas. I just convinced him I needed to build a Mason bee house *lol* Here's my pond. I inherited from the previous owner. I don't like it and would love to replace it with something else. Thanks, GJers, for your comments...I'll post some more pics with a full view of the pond on a separate thread. I found "Mr. Troll" at a nursery & did buy him new several yrs. ago...he stays outside all yr round ...& is in 3 pcs...head, tummy & jeans/feet...I loved that Billy Goat Gruff story! The birdbath has exceeded my expectations (used Silicone II for Doors/Windows Clear) ... made it in March last yr & it withstood all summer/fall & in garden shed this winter...good as new & out there at the pond again this yr! Cheap plants ($1 bag) are from our wonderful volunteer organization, "Green Scene"...they sell once a yr, new plants & old dug up from gardens all around the area...money donated to community schools/projects like trees, bushes, plants...an awesome place to find your gardening needs. I'm retired now so this is my 2nd yr of volunteering...before that I always was a member & bought at the sale! I also buy some new GJ stuff ...try to buy on sale or use 40% coupon at Hobby Lobby...here is a cast iron chicken I bought this yr. for 50% off there...but it's planted in old GJ egg basket & I add ivy, sedum, ornamental cabbage & some hen & cks ...sits on the patio: back view: Thanks for all your ideas & comments! Whew, I thought it was hot here today but it is only in the high 80's! You guys have got to be melting down south. I was out putting in a tiny lasagna bed next to my shed this afternoon. I totally overdid it with hauling wheelbarrows full of compost. I thought I was going to collapse afterward. Wasn't nearly this bad when I did the big bed in June! Goes to show how the humidity can make things so much worse. Yick! Joan, you aren't lazy! Heck, with that kind of heat even breathing is hard work! Frances, I wish we had some rain to send you but it has finally dried up here. Trina, I am so happy that you are finally getting some good rain. I hope it sticks around. I know it's not in time to save the vegies but at least the perennials may perk back up. Marie, you are certainly not a newbie, you've been around for ages darlin! I have a firm bathroom policy here. If I am in the Potty then do not ask me any questions, don't bother! If I hear "Mom?", I ask "Is the house on fire?, Is anyone bleeding?" The answer is always no. Then I say "Don't bother asking I am IN THE BATHROOM!!!!!" A girl's got to have some privacy! lol!

Hey! I got home from having more blood drawn, and there was my box from Joan on the porch! Paula helped me open it, and it was fun to watch the excitement on her face as she pulled out the shredded paper and saw the goodies Joan sent! Here's what we received... Plants... I love this post! When he was younger, I taught our one year old son everything he would need to know about working in the yard. Work a little, take a break...find the most comfortable place (such as a swing) and take a loooong nap! ZZZZZZZZZZZ

I can never seem to finish a project (as is evident by the number of pictures I post on here). Since there aren't any pictures of me swingin', I'll have to settle for this picture of my BF Bob doing all the swinging like a little kid for me! This was a few years ago when he had long hair.

OK now, here is what I meant to put in the photos--(an album)...I don't think the other one showed you anything but one photo....And there is one of myself, Todd, my boys and my sister Kerrie, her hubbie and son at our Getaway. (the one where we are sitting on benches under a gray pine amongst brown). I'm a swinger by the term that Jeanne gave (but don;t actually have a "swing" chair-so a bench will have to do. :-)

Jeanne, I had a dog that refused to have her picture taken so I usually got a picture of her backside. So the paw in the crotch is a little better! I just love those big swings! Whenever I get a yard, that is one of the first things I want to add to it. Maybe I can finally get a picture of myself swinging.

Kirk, your little boy looks so adorable! You have taught your little Grasshopper well. lol! With your beautiful yard, I can fully understand why the whole family would feel sleepy at the end of the day.

Jules, great pictures of you and your family. It is great to put faces with names.

Susiesunshine, we will have to see a picture of you sometime even if I have to come over there and take it myself! lol!

For a little background on my picture by the squad car ... my friends and I went to Rhinelander, WI, the home of the Hodag (google it to see what it looks like). We went to take our picture by the giant Hodag statue near the town's tourist center. All of a sudden, the cops show up and ask us if we went inside the building. We looked at them oddly and said no because a sign said it was closed. Apparently someone broke into the building and the alarm went off. We took the opportunity to take our pictures by the police car while the police were inside checking things out. Bob wanted to take it for a ride. My one friend did a Vanna White pose next to it. And I did the Luna in Shackles bit.

Kirk, those photos of BenBear just make me want to grab him up and hug him to bits. That first one especially, with his little socks half off. He's such a precious little boy and watching him grow the past year has been one of the most wonderful things in my life. He has my heart won.
