Can I root philodendron bipinnatifidum leaf stalks?

Apologies if this question has been posted... the search is not working well right now... or if it is simply a dumb question! I am very new to keeping plants. :)

I just cut off six leaf stalks from my philodendrons, as they had grown unevenly and sprawled out well beyond the newer leaves. The Little One grabbed them and is using them for an umbrella, but it occurred to me that this might be a waste of perfectly good cuttings. I don't see leaf nodes or anything, anywhere on the plants... will these stalks grow roots?
