Thanks for the offer. I'm in no rush, so I'll say yes to the white "prolific" Gaura and the white Buddleia. Insulation is our problem here in the banana belt. We don't get consistent snow cover. Also, I had my Gauras in fairly rich soil in a hollow dug into a former gravel driveway. I think the drainage wasn't good enough. Next time I try Gaura I'm going to put them in sand and just fertilize if/when necessary. I just looked at your trade list and noticed your liking for orange-toned flowers. I saved seed from a gorgeous orange/salmon Zinnia. The original variety was "Lilliput mixed" but I haven't been selecting for dwarfness. These guys are 4 to 5 feet tall in my garden. But, of course, they're annuals. Let me know. - Bev

I know things have been quiet on the Forum, and others busy in yards and stuff, but your table efforts are welcomed and loved. I just came from viewing your "last hurrah." I can't believe how many summer tables you've put together these past few weeks. The blues and greens go so well together. Rather soothing, really. Although I love to eat fish, I'm not much of a fish-motif person, so I much prefer the beaded napkin rings. The plaid napkins are perfect for the table. Did you collect all those shells over the years? I've seen some great Christmas tables using sea shells that were done by people who live near the water. A person wouldn't think they'd belong on a table in December, but they were real sparkly and just seemed so natural. Have you ever used them for Christmas decorations? It's still pretty warm here. Pulling out the fall stuff seems a little premature. I ran into Luvs at a big craft show this morning. They had tons of Halloween stuff. It did give me the itchie-twichies to start thinking about October Tables. So, like you, I'll get movin' on Fall.

I have to have my old standing seam metal roof re-coated, with what we used to call tar, every so many years, and last time I kept asking the guys, "Are you sure you don't want to come down for a break?"
