That's a Begonia, I believe of the type commonly known as Angel Wing. I don't know its specific botanical name, but it's pretty & looks happy.

You could pinch it again & root more cuttings to make for a fuller potful.

I can tell you that it is a, cane begonia, angel wing....
I have one, it looks a lot like yours, on mine the under side of the leaves are red, and it blooms are dark pink...
I hope this helps alittle....I think they like to be root bound...at least that works for me....linda

There are hundreds, and thousands of hybrid begonias. There is no guarantee that your plant will have dark pink flowers because it has leaves which look like someone else's plant which does. Begonia coccinea is very variable in it's shapes and sizes. Many are grown as annuals, but are really short lived perennials which can be kept going by taking cuttings frequiently. They were very popular before forced heating & air. They really don't like to be too warm or too hot. Like impatiens, they are known to melt if it gets too warm.

I never would've guessed Begonia. I'd heard that name before,
but I thought that was more of a flowering plant.
I must have the one that doesn't do all the flowering. I don't remember it flowering.
I can see the plant being popular in earlier times. Its a cutting from my deceased grandmother's big plant. That plant was kept in an unheated room with not much direct sunlight.
I always thought of it as a durable plant that can tolerate some pretty bad conditions for a houseplant.
I think I just must have more of the straight species Begonia, not really anything of a fancy variety. It is quite plain. I looked at a lot of pics of it on the web, and it seems like the vast majority of them are named varieties of this plant. They all looked basically like this one in leaf shape, but not so much on the spots on the leaves.
I just looked at the backs of these leaves and they are red too.

Will, Most begonias are grown for leaves, but even plain, old-fashioned Wax Begonias, the types we use in our gardens as edging plants, bloom. Ever see or grow them? Their leaves are plain, non-variegated, either green or dark purple.

If your begonia gets enough light it could flower, mostly throughout spring and summer. Flowers are usually pink or white, small in size..about 1/4-3/4".
