Using styrofoam for molding

I'm willing to bet that somebody's already mentioned this before and I didn't catch it but here goes;

I used my jigsaw on the lowest speed to cut my styro sheets.this left me with what I consider a ragged edge.So,got out an old chisel(a metal putty knife would do as well,I guess)and got the ol'blowtorch warmed up.I heated the blade(not screaming hot,but hot nonetheless)then "buttered"the ragged edges.Now,the styro is clean and the profile is sharp.Don't press too hard or you'll melt into it.I know,toxic gasses and all that,but it's a clean precise edge!

Cheers from here
