Marly's Secret Mini Garden!!

Hi everyone...

LOL... it is 'Secret' in that I have been keeping it a secret as much as possible while I have been building it.

I have been making all the 'furniture' and 'flagstones' and walls, etc. for this project over the last few months. I have been totally enjoying the designing and the creating of it. I wanted it to be a real living garden so I put real plants planted into the soil. I put a few cut flowers in there too just for the photo session... ie the floating flower in the pond.

The walls are made with stone imbedded into concrete. I 'stucco-ed' the outside of the walls. Most of the items inside the walls were made with hypertufa except for the bridge which is made from popsicle sticks. The obelisk is made from skewers. Oh, and the flagstone is made from concrete as well.

I'll be watering it with a 'misting' and 'sweeping' the pathways with a tiny paintbrush! So it is much easier to take care of than my life-size garden! lol I'm putting a drop or two of bleach into the pond to keep the algae under control. Hope that works.

Marly

This pic was taken before I made the bridge.
