Allergy - bean plants?

I'm relatively new to vegetable gardening, I have more experience with container gardening for herbs.

On Monday, I spent a lot of time out in my square foot garden weeding, picking beans, trellising cucumbers, and pruning tomato plants. When I came in from the garden, my forearms were covered in a red rash. It was itchy, and I hopped in the shower right away and washed off. It went away after about 2 hours.

Any suggestions of what caused this? I don't have any food allergies, grew out of hay fever when I was a teenager.

I guess I'll just have to do my gardening in long sleeves. :)
