how to get rubarb leaves off cast leaf?

I posted this on Accoutrament...but got no answers and am anxious...

I have made a dozen nice leaves using pointers from the Facs and after 2 1/2 days turned them over. The trouble is...I am having difficulty totally removing the rubarb leaves even though I sprayed them with Pam. Particularly the veins. I have gotten about half of the green leaf material off each one - and now have put the casting - with some leaf material still adhering - into a big tub to cure. My question is...can I remove the rest of the rubarb leaves after the curing (2-3 weeks is what I plan) or am I going to be in trouble? Shall I take them back out of the water and work gently at taking the leaf material off now? '

Monday two days later: worked today carefully on removing leaves...the cast leaves are soaking in a tub but still have some rubard leave pieces stuck to them and I will work more tomorrow...Its, a slow process! I know this isn't strictly hypertufa, but I also know lots of you do both so am throwing myself on your mercy!!

thanks

Deborah
