Peach and Apple Problems - Insect and possible disease damage

Hi Everybody,

My peach (redskin) and apple trees (fuji and honeycrisp) were planted as bare root trees back in November. The apples are doing ok, but there is definitely some insect damage. I've looked and looked but can't find out what is causing the problems. Is the damage in the pics below characteristic of a particular pest?

The peach, on the other hand, has been doing well up until this past week. I came home from work tonight, and it looked considerably worse than yesterday. There are more holes in the leaves, and they're spotted. What insect and/or disease seems to be causing these issues?

I've sprayed malathion once on the trees about a week ago. Is that enough? Also, with these being 1st year plantings, should I be fertilizing? I haven't yet...

The trees aren't currently mulched due to a vole issue I'm trying to get under control... *sigh*

Thanks for your help in advance - I'm very new at this!
