Pineapple Guava are hardy to zone 7/8 - so please consider this when requesting seeds. I have packaged 10 seeds per trade.

The seeds germinate fairly easily at room temperature in 3 weeks or so, and produce fruit in (this says) 3-5 years however, I'd side more with the 5 year plan. The petals of Pineapple Guava are succulent and sweet and also edible!

I do not have cultivar info on this type of pineapple guava, the fruits were given to me by a friend so I could try them as I'm planting it this year. The fruits are tart and firm - a different and unusual taste. Not suitable for markets as they don't hold on the plant or hold well after harvesting for marketing. Great for a home gardening and personal use.

I am interested in finding some of the items on my trade list,

If you post here, I will contact you via Gardenweb mail

Thanks,
