I'm growing tomatoes in greenhouses and see no reason why everyone shouldn't benefit from advantages. I agree with Stressbaby that Trust is a proven variety but I'm now growing over 100 varieties and they all will produce better than outside grown counterparts. The problem with beans is that they will draw a host of insects that will be less managable next to tomatoes. Also the tomatoes tend to shade anything shorter than they are. I'v not grown beans inside because they tend to perform better outside and are a lower " Greenhouse Gain" income crop in the offseason. GH tomatoes allow you to use the framework for stringline support. Also expect more attractive fruit and far fewer disease problems if they are ventilated properly. Pollination is usually not a problem in warmer weather into fall if you open doors or rollup sides. For beans you might benefit more by planting up to mid July and protecting the fall crop from frost with a rowcover fabric. You can extend picking season a month or longer if you time planting correctly and temperatures don't drop into the mid twenties..

I have two cherry tomato plants but one got late blight so i quarantined that ass with the quickness. but my last plant which is marvelous is in a deep water culture has many flowers but they keep falling off! i have made a buzz-pollinator out of a vibrating razor handle and a toothbrush head. I've also made a centrifugal dremmel out of a cap on the end of the dremmel with a spinning cotton swab in the middle. But theres been some freakishly hot weather since the flowers opened! anybody have an idea where to buy pollen perhaps? or any surefire over-the-top ways to make this work(cooling methods, trapping a bumblebee in my room for the day)? I dont want the past 80 days to be for nothing. The mornings have been about 80F reaching 93F noon.

Miss my fresh KY wonder......um yum yum and fresh yellow squash and zukes.... still got some mustard greens going in my two raised beds... and those were from the bolting ones that dropped., seeds Yummm Yum... Nothing like your own greens... I would have planted more if I could find my open packets of kales, collards, mustard greens. seeds...Hecks its been so unseasonably warm they would have did just fine in my "potato bins" If Hubby ever gets the time or energy. (Unfortunately I bought some feather girls and they take so much time,,,,,) May get a greenhouse.. got plenty of windows to do it... Just need the time...and energy even bought the larger outdoor unit " Hardy"to heat a greenhouse. but Hubby cant do it all Unfortunately he planted close to the house so smoke comes in some ... I know he does so much already. Just a wishing
