The foliage of both is pretty much the same. When not in bloom, just by sight, I'd be hard pressed to tell them apart. I think the leaves on my snail vine might be a bit smaller. My corkscrew vine has a light scent 24/7, not just at night. The pics in the earlier post are of my vines and I've had both for several years. I cut them back and keep them dormant during the winter. Maybe yours is something different? Post a pic next season when it's back in bloom.

I had one and it quickly succumbed to spider mites -- indoors -- before it could flower, of course (I didn't know about the garlic cayenne-pepper remedy then, mentioned on this site.) It sounds like a good bet (less heartbreaking) would be to grow it from seeds. I am attaching a link from the vines forum about some peoples' experiences growing it successfully from seeds, outdoors, unless you have a greenhouse. Hi Joanmary, I will try anything to get the Vigna to bloom. Pond is coming along. I have the feeder goldfish in there and they have gotten to a nice size. I have to give in and buy a water lotus as I can't seem to get one elsewhere. I need to cover the water surface before midsummer sun causes algae. Wish that victoria lily I bought didn't die. That would have given great coverage. But oh well...great pictures by the way. I am still jealous...

Awww too bad it's too far away....I hope to get one some day....along with plenty other plant's..:))
