Do not add purple to that room. That would not make any sense. You already have your color palette established. Adding random colors should not be the goal. What you need to do is stick with the palette you already have. Color is not your problem. You need LAYERS. You need to build up that space so it's not so flat and one dimensional. You need an area rug. You need to upgrade the throw pillows. You're trying too hard to match the pillows to that piece of art work. Yes, keep the colors in the same family, but focus more on texture and then add pattern. All solid color pillows are too boring and flat. Then you need to pull that sectional away from the corner. Do not stick furniture in corners, that will never look good. Pull it into the center of the room and reconfigure it so that it is looking at whatever the focal wall is in the space. Without being able to see the entire space, maybe turn the couch so that it is looking at that blank wall that the long part of the couch is backed up onto now for example. in other words, get the couch into the center of the space on a large area rug however that fits best. Then get a console table to put behind the long part of the sectional with a large piece of modern sculpture art on it to go with your modern wall art.

And an area to reorganize I wasn’t happy with the perrenials I chose so there’s room too. Also thinking in front of my home .. I wasn’t happy with my Minnie penny hydrangeas so they could go there too . :)

2 feet in the middle of the closet is a tight squeeze. A reach in with double rod hanging can be more efficient and hold more. 13x13 is a nice size for a master bedroom. The bedroom in my former home was that size and I found it to be very comfortable. I would suggest that you separate the windows on the wall opposite the door to make a natural place for the bed to sit. Otherwise, you'll end up putting the bed in front of the windows, which isn't ideal. In the 2nd bedroom, I would suggest putting the closet to the right of the door on the south wall. Then add a second window on the north wall, separate from each other for the bed. Feng shui says you get the best sleep if your head is opposite the door and your bed is against a solid wall.

Hi Wynda. You have a nice family room. You just need to have a plan. I find this often: people ask how to decorate, but that is the last step. Here is what I recommend. 1) Find photos of rooms you like. I found this in your ideabook. Notice how uncluttered the room is. If you are seeking this look, you will need to unclutter yours. 2) Create a floor plan. I recommend placing the sofa about where the coffee table is now. Move the recliner closer to the pillar. (Not sure if this would work without exact sizes of furniture and room dimensions). But worth trying. Tv would go on a console table to the right of the fireplace. Not sure there is room for any other main furniture. 3) Finaly step is decorating.
