Pepper virus or problem?

I've always thought Peppers were rather problem free overall but last year and now this year all the lower leaves get yellow/brown spots then the leaves turn yellow and fall off early. The plants still grow but are more tall and thin and less bushy, with reduced production. I have many different types, most of which are supposed to be resistant to many disease such as Giant Marconi, Golden Summer, Ancient Sweets, Chocolate Beauty, Mariachi. Cubanelle sees less bothered even thou that is an order type. Some plants have odd wrinkled congested top growth, but not always.

Am I getting paranoid about normal fluctuations in the garden, or do I have some sort of chronic disease problem?
