Another Squash Vine Borer story and question

solanaceae

It was pretty easy to confirm the small discoloration on single zucchini The next day I saw an adult SVB sitting on the leaf like it was his plant( he paid for that). I had ripped off a few leaves and stalks to see very small, like a 10th of a grain of rice, larva the day before. I knew I waited too long for my defensive counter measures and I know about it because of last year which was the first time growing in this location. So I have put BT water inside and out for now.

Now for my question. I had these things attack my butternut vines last year. The solid vine butternuts are supposed to resist these but they still attacked them. Has anyone else had them take on butternut? I also have Zucchetta Rampicante as an anti SVB measure but wonder if SVB has gone after these.

I have now laced bt water around all the squash. Its the stuff for ponds but I crumbled it in a gallon.
