I have had years where the cukes initially came in growing oddly and then they seem to fix themselves. As I recall the skinny ones didn't taste very good. I can't be certain you are experiencing the same thing I have, but if you are then yes, I would remove the cukes from the plant and toss them in the compost pile, they won't be very good for eating.

well, I ended up cutting off all leaves that had lots of dots and drying on the edges - and the fake leaves had them a lot - since I would rather eliminate the spread of whatever this may be. these cucumbers are VERY VERY close to all other plantings - everything is on one table under light so I am not willing to risk all other plants. But, still I would appreciate if anyone can tell me what this is. the plants are very strong, no other signs to worry about, they grow and have new leaves coming out.

It still looks like powdery mildew. The white veining in the leaves could easily be a natural feature of a different variety of curcurbit and nothing to worry about. But the splotching visible on the bottom leaves in the picture is concerning. If not powdery mildew, then look up downy mildew. Both are contagious. Some varieties are more vulnerable than others. I recommend removing the diseased plant, or at a very minimum all the diseased leaves, and treating the healthy plant and healthy leaves with a preventative.

probably a bunch of things .. but what i note.. is how dry the soil is .. and how the soil looks like it is washing away .. so i wonder about proper deep watering ... and they look a bit sunburnt.. which would be surprising if they arent getting enough water ... and they arent mulched to reduce soil heat accumulation ... and once you have those two problems... who knows what secondary issues develop on stressed leaves .. in the long run.. it might be easier to just divest .. rather than spend a lot of money on a plant that wont return the investment ... but if you have some mulch around.. add it.. and water deeply.. and maybe new growth will recover .. always look to such.. to see what the current status is.. rather than leaves that had some problem days or weeks ago ... ken
