I got so much help on my question about cherries that I thought I'd try some more. In addition to the cherries (see other thread...) I bought a Stark 2-n-1 pear, an Adams County Nursery peach (Gloria) and apricot (Harogem). Also two plums; one is Japanese (Friar) and I hope like crazy the other one is Japanese too; it's coming from Edible Landscaping and is just billed as an All-red purple leaf plum. I have heavy clay soil and my backyard has a mix of morning sun, full sun, and afternoon sun locations. Any tips on placement? Soil amendments? I'm a complete newbie to this although I DO know I need to amend the soil...
