Positive Results From Our Cool Rainy Weather

Now that summer has finally arrived in NH, I thought I'd share a few positives to our crazy wet, cool summer to date.

With all the rain and cool weather this summer, my peas have done well. I'll probably get one more picking before I rip them out this weekend and replant for fall. I have 40' of Green Arrow peas and to date have harvested over 10 lbs. of peas in the shell with a yield of 3.5 lbs. of shelled beautiful sweet green peas. Due to the weather, they didn't get planted until May 10th which is normally way too late. It's actually been one of my best harvest on record for peas.

I had an extended season for lettuce as well and the results were sweet, crisp and delicious.

Anyone else have a positive side to our crazy weather?
