Pruned my Apple Tree this winter, questions???

So we moved to our new home (20 years old) this past summer. Over winter I pruned the apple tree. It previously grew in partial shade, and was very leggy. It produced apples this past summer and a few branches broke due to the weights. We had the majority of the large trees shading the area where this apple tree is revmoved, so it's in full sun now. I have a before and after pic below. Another point, you can push the tree easily and it will wobbel side to side a few inches, as if it wasn't planted very deep here in our georgia clay. I removed and transplanted many bushes this winter, and although they were 20 years in the ground they looked like they just came out of the pot i.e rootbound in tiny holes from orginal homeowner.

So thoughts??? Did I screw up???
