Larry - I know :( but they were small pups that had never seen the light of day - crispy with dead roots, and where they weren't crispy they were a sick yellow. Yep, trash. vitorama - I must defend myself here lol, I am not the one who put them outside in full sun! That was the friend who I gave them to. She sent me that pic, saying she wasn't sure they were going to make it. And thanks! Been waiting to use that orange pot, I think it looks great with the happy little Sans in it :)

Thank you all for looking and commenting. Sherry, Tree Turtles is usually anywhere from 48 to the listed 56 inches. And the blooms will be all over the plant...not too pretty to me to begin with, but they curl up like bows and even the colors become much clearer and prettier in the sun. Most unusual. Nan, you will like Flaming Flamingo...it is not an extra early full opening bloom, but it stands up very well to the sun and looks more striking as the day heats up. As I said, I am very happy with the performance of both Possession of Obsession and Spoken in Parables. Both are reliable re-bloomers here. Finally, the blooms are beginning to die down....not out yet, but I expect few clump shots after the next few days, but will still have a lot of re-bloomers which I will wait to post until there re a sufficient number of them. I will try to answer your questions. 1. Evergreen means it keeps its foliage year round unless it is in a zone that experiences frost and then it will die back. The evergreens in my Indiana garden don't look all that different in the winter from the dormants except you see mushy leaves trying to grow near the ground. In the spring the foliage looks rather bedraggled until they grow out of the damage. Dormants come up with beautiful foliage in the spring because they went totally underground. Early is based on what is early for daylilies, not what is early for all flowering plants in the spring. Early is a relative term and in my opinion if you want early ones, you just have to give it the trial and error. Find the ones registered as early or extra early and give them a try. I don't grow azaleas but in my zone no daylily blooms that early. For example, Stella de Oro is probably one of the earliest seen daylilies in my area. Stella is actually registered as a early midseason. The registration is based on what the hybridizer observed in his garden and may not be applicable to yours. Another example is Lava Flow. It is consistently one of the earliest to bloom in our garden, but it is registered as early midseason. I know of no daylilies that bloom with azaleas with perhaps the except of H. dumortieri, (it might be after the azaleas) which is a species that has a short blooming season and flowers that are not very showy. How a rebloomer acts is dependent on its genetics and growing conditions. My understanding is that a daylily needs heat and water to rebloom. Of course, some never rebloom. Others will have what is referred to as instant rebloom. While the scape is blooming the plant puts up another scape from the same fan. Many of the daylilies of Richard Norris are known for this characteristic. That will give a long season of bloom. Others are more like Stella. They bloom in a flush and then wait for a while for the next flush. Stella might bloom a lot, but it is not constantly in bloom. Usually the rebloom is not as heavy as the original bloom. You may have fewer scapes and fewer flowers on each scape. Or you may have more flowers (and sometimes larger flowers) on the rebloom scape. It depends on many factors--genetics, light, heat, water, etc. In our zone we are happy if we see any rebloom even if it is just one scape in the clump. I hope that answers your questions. Nancy

(1) I don't believe GFCI is required. (2) 12-2 is fine. The white should be remarked but that's a fairly minor code violation. (3) There's no picture. I think some breakers are rated to accept more than one wire but I don't think it's the norm. What are the three 'circuits' serving? (Technically it's a single circuit since they are all on the same breaker. It just branches off in three directions.) (4) Regarding leaving wires in breaker box. Personally, I wouldn't snip of the ends. I'd add wire nuts (maybe taped on if they seem loose) and tuck them out of the way. Maybe also leave a note about what the wires are for.
