Rust spots on cantaloupe and squash plants

Hello,

We are newbie vegetable gardeners and have some pest and perhaps fungus/disease problems starting.

Here they are:

A couple of our tomato plants have yellow and/or brown leaves on the bottom of the 5 foot plants.

Our squash and melon plants have rust/brown spots.

Watermelon had white powdery looking stuff so I tore off all of those leaves and did a 20% milk 80% water concoction and sprayed every single leaf 2 mornings ago. Actually seems to have slowed the fungus dramatically. I was assuming by pics on web that it was powdery mildew.

Also, we live in zone 8B. It is getting hot here. Had 2 or 3 days last week over 100 degrees. Others in high 90's. All but 1 day this week is calling for mid to high 90's. I've heard both. Don't change your watering patterns just because it gets hot or it will mess things up. Have also heard that we should increase our water. What say you??

Thank you so much in advance for help.!!
