Now, for your next project, these little balls of yogurt "cheese" are wonderful spread on nice crackers, toast points or toasted baguette slices. Be sure and drizzle a bit of the herb laced oil over each piece when serving. Yogurt Cheese in Olive Oil w/Herbs Make a batch of yogurt. Line a colander or sieve with muslin or a clean, lint free dishcloth. Pour the yogurt in, fold the cloth over the top of the yogurt & put a weight on top. I use a plastic bowl with a tight fitting lid, filled with water. Put the colander or sieve in the sink or over a bowl to catch the liquid (whey) as it drains. The timing differs depending on how liquid the yogurt was to start with and how heavy the weight is, but leave it until the yogurt has become stiff, like cold cream cheese. It could be a couple of hours, or maybe 5 or 6...just check once in a while. Then, roll the "cheese" into inch-round balls. Put them in a sterilized jar, sprinkling each layer with your choice of herbs & spices. When the jar is full, pour in olive oil until the "cheese" is covered. Store in the fridge. My original recipe said it would keep for 3 weeks, but I have noted that it keeps much longer than that as long as all the balls remain covered with oil. This is a wonderful spread on good quality crackers, baguette slices or toast points...make sure to drizzle a bit of the herb flavored oil on each serving. I like to use fresh marjoram, rosemary and chives from my garden, with the addition of some salt and chili pepper flakes. But really, follow your tastes, it's a very forgiving recipe.

Thanks :) But I knew the translation....it's just that I find it rather irritating when people ask for help and it takes me (and others) 2-3 times as long to figure out what they are saying! I never got the feeling that English was this person's 2nd language. It just doesn't seem that way. It seems like it's a hoax - this poster will go from saying something like: "I m jus gona raise him as if its my baby...n im sure il do everythin to keep him healthy...n wid al our luv n care.." And then will say: "This is absolutely my last comment on this...I am not going to give my puppy away...I just said that I would do it in case I see any starts to suffer and before he creates a bond so that it is easy for him to move on...not get him to a stage where he is a total goner". Oh, gosh, if I put things in capital letters I do it for emphasis. I would never be so boorish as to yell at someone on a forum. So if I have offended anyone I apologize. My mother was a squabbler and it was really embarrassing for me as a teenager because she would take anybody on and run her mouth till she figured she'd "won". But my best friend had a mother who always said, "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all". I really respected that woman for her restraint and her good manners. I think it would be good to e-mail all these pet food producers who have the above items on their lists of ingredients and tell them we know what that is and we will not be buying their products as long as those ingredients are on the list. If they are just asked "if" they include euthanized pets and roadkill in their food, they'll just find someone who works there that doesn't know about "anything" that they put in the food, who can then truthfully tell you "I know of no such ingredients in our brand". Would there be calcium in the cartilage that's in the wing? When I had cats as a child we always fed them milk and table scraps, and they supplemented it by hunting. Then people started saying cats couldn't digest milk and not to feed it. My dog, Sonny, has gotten so that he doesn't want to eat the dry Chicken Soup dog food. So to about a cup of dry food I've been adding about a half cup of leftovers from our most recent meal and some water that had sausage cooked in it (fat removed), or water with dry milk powder added, and he has been cleaning the bowl.
