Hello NurseChristina, You list your zone as 5, but where are you located? Knowing that would help us give you better advice. Do your tomato plants have blossoms or fruit on them? I assume since you mentioned SFG (square foot gardening) that you are planting in a raised bed. Did you move them into another raised bed, directly into the ground or into containers? As long as they are not in containers, I would suggest side dressing them with the TomatoTone. I suggest it because the nitrogen is lower, you want support for fruits and roots, not foliage growth. NPK = up, down, all around. Just follow the TT's recommended amounts in a circular furrow about 6" from the stem. Keep the fert off the leaves and roots so they don't get burned. You can follow up with another feeding in 3-4 weeks. If they are in the ground (or raised bed) I'll contradict Seysonn's watering advice . . . . Neither of us knows where you are or if you are container gardening, so we may both be wrong. However, I'd recommend deep watering if they are in a raised bed or in the ground, I don't think you'll get the deep watering with a watering can. And if you are side dressing, you don't need to feed every watering. If they are in containers, then Seysonn's directions are right on. I hope that helps. Betsy

We recently moved long distance but I wasn't organized enough beforehand to purge everything. I'm doing that as I unpack. Have you heard of FlyLady? I know a few people who really like her housekeeping methods. Last time I looked her way she was helping people set up morning and evening routines for the basic cleaning, and then weekend routines, and then having special clear-out-the-clutter events. She encourages people to have regular housecleaning routines rather than once or twice a year big cleanings. I've read about her system but never really used it as it's intended. Do not have very many $5 plants. I have a friend that has a host business here that has been a wonderful enabler. She was on the national tour last summer. Moving about 550 miles south in Arkansas. Anyone on here live in Ar? My beds have gotten crowded anyway. So right now I'm splitting and planting half in my rows to take. Will probably list the house early next spring. I was thinking I could water my plants and put them in bags to save room then pot them in the new location for part of the summer. Will have quite a bit of time to plant them. I don't have near as many to move as you did and am not moving any duplicates. Getting older and need to downsize anyway. I'd say 200 to 250 hostas then all my other junk. I retired in December so have been doing painting , staining and downsizing domestic collections getting the house ready. Husband is a realtor and says we need to really down size the flowers before listing. Not sure I agree.

Your environment seems fairly controlled, so soil born diseases/problems can be ruled out. Have you checked for aphids? They can cause the type of leaf damage you are seeing and can carry diseases to pass onto your plants. It could be shock and adjustment to the new system to include a possibility of reaction to the cleaning agent. Though it seems that three good flushes should be fine. How are the top brand new leaves doing?
